our why

Established in 1974, the Seymour Ball Club has been a cornerstone of the local community, providing a home for generations of baseball and softball players. Since its founding, the club has fostered a passion for sports, teamwork, and camaraderie, creating a space where athletes of all ages and skill levels can come together to enjoy America's pastime.

From its humble beginnings, Seymour Ball Club has grown into a respected institution in the area, known not only for its commitment to developing young athletes but also for its enduring role in bringing families and neighbors together. With a proud history spanning decades, the club has seen generations of players step onto the field, passing down traditions, memories, and the love of the game.

What truly sets the Seymour Ball Club apart is its dedicated volunteers. As a completely volunteer-run organization, the club thrives on the passion and support of community members who give their time and energy to ensure its success. From coaches and umpires to board members and event organizers, volunteers are the heart of the Seymour Ball Club, making every game, practice, and event possible.

Looking toward the future, Seymour Ball Club is committed to expanding its impact on the community. Through fundraising efforts such as FEVER FEST, the club is working to raise funds for an expanded sports complex that will provide more opportunities for local kids to participate in baseball and softball. This new complex will offer an additional field, improved facilities, and a safe, welcoming environment for young athletes to grow, compete, and develop their skills.
